The suggested 'Long Walk For Wales' - Marching Against the Great 'Vyrnwy Estate' Land Grab - Walking back into our past - Inspired by the Mapuche Indigenous People of Patagonia - Their 'FREE PATAGONIA'. I have no problem with banging the drum for the 'Mapuche' - 'The People of the Land' for a number of reasons, to begin with I consider that 'Y Cymry' owe it to these Indigenous People of Chilie and Argentina. It is an uncompfortable fact that 'Y Cymry' do not want to face but - 'Y Wladfa' - the 'Welsh Colony in Patagonia did as much to contribute to the Conquest of the Mapuche and Colonisation of their rightful lands as much as the any 'European Imperialist Aggression' and 'Colonial Settlement' of the 'Americas'.

Only of course 'Y Cymry' were much nicer about it, not least in the 'Soft Sell' ever since avoiding the reality of how easy it is for the 'Conquored' to become the 'Conquoror' but that of course would be wrong and too harsh to say of the great Welsh Colonial Experiment? However, the Welsh do some what tend to salve their own 'Colonising Conscience' with tales of how good their Patagonian Settlers aka 'Colonisers' were to the native peoples but nevertheless the truth is they contributed to an attempted 'Final Solution' of Mapuche Resistence to Conquest and Colonisation in the final onslaught in the 'Conquest of the Desert'.

All this contentiousness aside, I also draw attention to the struggle of the Mapuche for other reasons, not least they are a people who have lost their land, had it taken from them by European Conquorers and Colonists in the past and, now by Capitalist Colonising Business Interests as Beneton etc. However, there is much more that the Mapuche Peoples can teach us, proably more than any 'Welsh Colonial Settler', ever taught they. Though some in Wales who are beyond redemption, as perhaps many in the 'Crachach Creating' Welsh Language Industry for example Meri Huws, Labour Party head of 'Bwrdd yr Iaith' who believes that the past can be left behind as 'Yr Iaith' moves forward in her concept of a bright 'New Neo Colonial Wales' partly ruled by 'Y Crachach Newydd' - England's Client Tribe in Wales..Why am I not suprised, if I consider such as 'Cymdeithas yr Iaith' as firm believers in this sort of new 'Post Colonial' - 'Post Devolution' thinking! After all, one of their 'spokes persons' once stated to the Western Mail on subject of Rali Cilmeri, that ''They were living in the present, not the past''. Yes! I can guess as to the past roots of they and the type of elitist present they seek to indentify with, live and self advance in, ain't that the truth! It is little suprising then that the 'likes of they' are not up for any struggle to Defend Welsh Land, Communities- and the 'Common Folk' any more as their 'Pontcanna Patagonia' and other 'Crachach Colonies' as exist in

To fight on for Land, liberty and their Language as the 'People of the Land', important values that sadly our 'Cultural Nationalists' are fast loosing sight of? But I still live in hope that some, possibly younger 'Cultural National' Radical Activists will awake and arise to Commit with Courage of a true 'Cymric Conviction' to the 'Long Walk For Wales' be it following the Eisteddfod or other wise.
